We had an awesome day. My Uncle and 2 friends came down and we worked all of his GWP's (7 total) at Royal Flush. We also had the opportunity to get 3 new pups on birds including Rock, my Elhew English Pointer on birds. I've been working so much lately that I haven't had the time to spend with Rock like I want. The very first quail today, he snapped his neck to a point that made him look like a pro. His tail was still low and waggin' but it was obvious that his "trigger switched on" like a light switch. I was so jacked up (and still am) and couldn't help but notice that he has much the intensity level of his Papa Cotton who I had to put down a few months ago. His next point was high tailed and solid (so beautiful) but I was to busy to worry with the camera. And then we had the opportunity to let my main dog Duke hunt out with his littermate, Maggie (the darker one) whom he hadn't seen since they were pups, 4 years ago:

Sounds like a great time. I've been watching my dog come on point for 5 years now and it still gives me goosebumps.
Excellent post for #1000 by the way...

That is way beyond cool!
It looks like he is carrying on the tradition.
Enjoy!
