Well here we go! I live in middle Tn and love to hunt. Whitetail, turkey, pigs, and as of 2008 elk. I have been hovering the site for a little while and decided to get into some conversation, maybe. We do not average the buck quality in TN that you do in Indy but we have a lot of fun chasing our little deer! ;D It has been a great season so far for me with two 9pts under my belt so far! First buck was smoke pole. Second buck first Saturday of rifle season. One more to go and my season is over. Good news is I am trying to get my son his first deer this year at 6yrs. old. He was actually sitting with me when I took the second buck above! That was exciting stuff!!

Welcome and it looks like you have some nice deer in TN too! Good luck getting your son a deer this year. Is there a pretty healthy hog population around your parts? I'd love to hunt them but I don't want those things around here!

I'd love to hunt them but I don't want those things around here! We do have a lot of hogs in sections of the state. They are becoming quite a problem and it seems the state is working backwards as of this year towards getting rid of them. The new regulations make little since to me if they want rid of them. Thanks for the welcome!

Well IN isn't much better sometimes with the making sense of game laws. Hopefully they get it straightened out for TN next year. Supposedly there is already a handful of wild hogs in the southern part of our state along the river.
