We've found ourselves needing an extra guy 3 times this year so far. Alot of the public draw hunts require a minimum of 3 guys to draw. If there is anyone out there wanting to hunt ducks/geese around Indy, Bloomington, Terra Haute, etc, then please shoot me a PM or respond here. Probably going to need someone tomorrow.
If you're new I have an extra of everything. Waders, Camo, Guns, Etc.

What's it cost and when are the hunts? As I've told you in our PM's, I have never done it but may want to try it once just to see what its all about.

Well all you need is...
Resident Hunting License $17.00 Indiana Waterfowl Stamp $6.75 Federal Waterfowl Stamp $15.00
Total: $38.75
The feeling of smoking your first drake mallard when he decoys perfectly into your spread..... priceless.
Then shells and anything else you need. Which I have all of if you ever want to go HuntMeister.

I cannot do tomorrow or the weekend as I am heading back to IL for some deer hunting. When does the season go out? How far in advance do you know of your draw dates? I have a 16GA auto, would that be OK? What type and size of shot? I have hip waders, will they work? I have no special clothing / camo...I wear large and sometimes can do XL depending on the cut. Sorry for all the questions but I know virtually nothing about waterfowl hunting.

Stick with deer hunting. Waterfowl hunting is boring, cold and wet not worth the stamp...

I cannot do tomorrow or the weekend as I am heading back to IL for some deer hunting. When does the season go out?-Season goes out January 12th for ducks, and January 22nd for Geese. But there is an extended Goose season that goes into February. For that you'll just need to register to get your "Nuisance Permit." It's free. Usually after the freeze we're in the fields, so you wont need anything other than regular camo you deer hunt in. I have extra layout blinds. How far in advance do you know of your draw dates?-I have a calendar that has all the draw dates. I'll PM you the dates, and maybe we can get together on one. I have a 16GA auto, would that be OK?-Yep. I use 12 gauge, but people use 16, 20, 10. What type and size of shot?- Geese: BB or BBB, Puddle Ducks (Mallards, Gadwalls, Widgeons): #2, Wood Ducks, Teals, Divers: #4. Shot size is all personal preference. As long as you get #2, #4, BB, or BBB you can use them all season long. After some time in the blind you'll decide what you like. I've had seasons where I used #2's for everything, so I'd go with that to save some $$. I have hip waders, will they work?- Yea they will probably work. I also have 3 extra pairs of waders, size 9 boot on 2 of them and 10 on the other. I have no special clothing / camo...I wear large and sometimes can do XL depending on the cut.-I have full sets duck hunting camo (Advantage Max4 HD) in both size Large and XL. I switched to Mossy Oak Duck Blind camo, so I have a bunch of extra.

Hey brother I saw this last night, I am more than willing to go out with you. I've got all my licenses and a gun. I've been waterfowl hunting before so I know the drill. I also live in Avon, close to you. Hit me up if you want to go. My number is 219-689-7057.
