I am sure this been discussed before but cant find a thread on it.
What is your favorite upland game shotgun? Any history with the shotgun such as it was my dads, Grandpa etc would be cool too.
I only have 2 shotguns I consider bird guns.
My fav is a cheap Stoger Condor 12 ga O/U 28" bbl. My family never hunted. They dont have nothing against it they just not hunters, so I have bought my own guns. I plan on passing my firearms down to my kids.
I prob shot over 5000 rounds throgh it hunting and sporting clays and no problem. I like to buy a 20 ga next year but this one my favorite right now
Looking forward to your replies.

My gun is what I call a work horse and probably the most reliable gun ever made Remington 870 no bells no whistles just plain hunt.

Where to begin?! I'll cover the whole bird group not just upland birds if you don't mind. I began hunting with an old "Atlas" 28 ga. over/under; has never missed a squirrel, rabbit or quail I've pointed it at. Also have never found another one like it. It's dad's gun and he started me and my 2 brothers out hunting with that gun. Needless to say it's a treasured family heirloom. If I'm chasing quail here in Indiana, I'm definitely taking the hump-back A-5 Browning 20 ga (Belgium of course ). Best shooting gun ever made IMO. If I'm chasing Pheasant in S.D. I'll either shoulder the Beretta AL391 or dad's Winchester 101 (which is now in the lead for my favorite shooting 12 gauge in the group). However, the 391 is just too gentle on the shoulder and too reliable to leave in the case. For ducks and geese, it's either the Remington 887 (not a huge fan but a good boat beater) or the most recent addition...Browning BPS 10 gauge!

I've got a Browning O/U that I've run over 100,000 rounds thru. It pretty much shoots where I look.
