I did not see many over the last few days and the one that are flying know were ever blind is. They say over 2000 but all the shooting is in the first 30 mins and the birds are gone. I maybe seen 300 today.

Was in the corn again today and was one of the high blinds again. We shot 1 Mallard in the first 10 mins and were done. Even the Geese were gone today.

I have not heard much from any of the clubs but I would guess it has been terrible for them also. The Laporte area is just about a duck free zone and the goose numbers are low compaired to years past. The weather forecast for the next week doesn't show much promise either. Tell me we have not lost our migration route.

I say we been losing it over the last few years to the West. And if we keep starting are seasons in Oct. and shooting all the Wood ducks we will have a 1 bird bag limited on them soon.

I agree with birds moving more to the west. If it wasn't for wood ducks we wouldn't have much to shoot at in the line of ducks. Some folks blame the lack of ducks on the management of state properties, I for one think they do the best they can with what they have to work with there just isn't enough ducks moving this way like they did 10-20 years ago. Have a good Thanksgiving, also pray for snow and cold weather.
