Shot my doe yesterday with my h&r handi-rifle in .44 mag with winchester 240 grain jhp. She ran right under my stand and you could see the blood pumping out both sides. She ran 15 yd.

Have you shot any 240 xtp's to compare? just curious. I have heard good reviews on different 240's so we started with them. Have not had a deer in front of the gun yet. :[ Lonny Lonny I harvested a doe this past Sunday using hornady 240 gr. XTP in .44 mag. I switched from the .225 leverrvoultions to them over summer due to better ballistics and accuracy. It was a 30 yd shot and she was slightly quartering away took out both lungs and sliced the heart almost in half. No exit wound but the entrance was devastating. I could stick my hand through it if I tried. Not sure if caught a small branch before impact or just caught the first rib and it helped take everything else out with the bullet. Can post a pic or email if you'd like.
