Hello! I'm new here, and a fairly new to living in Indiana for just over a year now. I have questions as to the specifics of what the regulations are over here regarding nuisance animals...could someone please reference the law on what weapons (shotgun, pistol, rifle, NFA registered machinegun and/or suppressor, etc etc) you are or are not allowed to take them? The only thing I can really find is this from a Nuisance Permit (and since homeowners do not need one I'm not sure if this would apply the same). The link is here www.state.in.us/dnr/fishwild/files/fw-NuisanceControlPermitReg.pdf and it says "The following methods may be used to take a wild animal under this section: (1) Firearms if possessed and used in compliance with all applicable state, local, and federal firearm laws." Also...it seems the DNR web site still says notification within 72 hours, however I believe I read somewhere that that was changed? Thanks in advance!

ive read the 72 hr was changed too. but dont know when it did or will take effect. Best to call a CO for clarification and or covering your butt.
There is no law regarding weapons allowed. Unless stated otherwise (like deer n turkey for example) Indiana is a use what you want kinda state. Just make sure youre not in violation of any local ordinances.
the permit you referenced is for those that do wildlife control as a business. Those businesses are closly regulated as to how animals may be dispatched and disposed of.
