I have a Fox Pro Prairie Blaster, great caller but the weight is the worst part of it. After a few hours of packing it around it wears you down, all else considered it is a fantastic caller.

Depends on how much she is willing to invest. If looking for top end (IMO)...look into the Minaska Big Country Bandit (what I use), or the Wildlife Technologies. Down fall to the WT is you must purchase different sounds if you want them and Battery life is short from what I hear. The Minaska will accept downloaded sounds from the computer onto a CF card. You can also record sounds from a favorite hand call to the computer and download to the caller.
Somewhere in the $500 neighborhood for each. Check out AllPredatorCalls.com.......

If you are wanting an e-caller, I'd suggest you got to www.gofoxpro.com, and take a look at their products. I've been using FoxPro calls since they produced their first digital call with a remote. I still have that first FoxPro 416B and it works perfectly. I bought an FX-3 after the 416B. It had 32 sounds and was also remote controlled. I updated the FX-3 to an FX-5. The FX-5 has 50 sounds and an upgraded remote. Over the 10 years that I've used FoxPro calls I've never had any problems requiring customer service, other than to send in the 416B to have new sounds installed on it, and to have the FX-3 upgraded. FoxPro's customer service is second to none. FoxPro has discontinued the FX series of calls now, but still makes the Firestorm, which is an upgraded FX-5. I would highly recommend the Firestorm.

I built one myself. Put all the calls on an MP3 player and plug it in. Put the 25watt speaker anywhere I want it and control sounds and volume from MP3.

A decent beginner e-caller is the Foxpro Spitfire, about $200

I invested in a fox pro FX3. very worth while investment. Buy a set of quality rechargable batteries such as powerex and charger and this will last even in the coldest temps. I like the flexability of downloading sounds to my p.c. and changing things up a bit. IMO having even 32 sounds is alot.
