Shot my first Indiana pheasant on Wednesday afternoon. I have access to a 50 acre stretch of CRP. Unfortunately this is the last year the property will be in the program, so I'm hunting it hard while I can.

You guys think he's hairy in this pic, check out the "bird dog" thread below this one. In all seriousness, he's a REALLY good hunting dog. Spinones are very natural pointers/retrievers.

Congrats Drew! Didn't know you had access to an area like that. Friend has some out around Pine Village that I've been on but not very often...still can't say as I've ever hunted over/with a dog though.
