...does it take to kill a gobbler, in your opinion? Assume 5's or 6's with sufficient penetration. This may be interesting.

From a logical standpoint one bb in the right place would do it, IMO as many as it takes is a good anwser given any situation.

I am not happy with my pattern unless I have 15-20. Right now last years set up had 25-30 at 40 yds. I was very happy. 1 bb does the trick, but wouldn't want to rely on 1 everytime....

Most agree its 7-10 to be an effective pattern but really only one needs to hit the brain or break the neck to kill a turkey. h.h.

When I pattern my gun, I keep moving back until I can keep at least 10 pellets in there and that is the max distance I'll shoot. The combo I have now with my 1187 is good to 43 yards.
