We have a small Butcher club and have been doing our own deer for 10 years..Members pay a set fee for as many as they want to shoot..I contacted the DNR once to see if we could donate deer we have already processed..They told me we had to put our name in the book as a drop off point for free processing or take them to another place to be able to donate..If we process them and vaccuum pack everything in a CLEAN environment why the heck can't we donate them? I do not have time to drive 50 miles round trip to be able to donate.. Just saying

What you might do is check out the area food pantrys and see if they will take it. The hunters in my church donate some of their meat to our food pantry.
