Foodplot? this late in the year?

Well just found a place that the state has helped me out with I guess. They cleaned up some trash that was on the north end of our property. They cleared an old road that used to go to my great grand dad's house. Now was wondering if there was anything I could plant there this late in the year that might make it and be a good place for the deer to come for some late food?
