This weekend was o.k. We shot malards and divers 2 days stright. The birds are trickeling in slowly. Some new birds on the big lake. With the north winds and wave action should push some down. Hunted saterday off the point of edsion, sunday out on goverment break wall. Best part was perch fishing afterwords. The sholes off E.C are holding some nice perch ,12 inchers. Pinch a crawler and a green jig in 25 to 35 F.O.W.
Good Luck

I was in Wi. for deer hunting last weekend. The lakes are freezing up there. My buddies around South Bend are seeing a lot of migrators starting last Thurs.

I never knew waterfowl hunting ( in season ) was allowed on wolf lake . I'm about a half hour drive from there . I just read the area of the lake where your allowed to , I'm going to have to start thinking about next year . is there a lottery draw to hunt wolf lake in Hammond

Mossberg500: there is no drawing, all you need is some good grease so you can jam your blind in between all the other blinds currently on that lake.

They draw for blind spots in June for Wolf Lake. They change the day and I mist it this year. You get a spot for the season. 25 spots total Illinois side only.

Are you required to have an Illinois hunting license or is the lake considered common ground.

After all these years I just learned something I never knew. Always wondered how they kept the piece on that body of water.
