This was the last day of the firearm season...we roll up to one of the farms we hunt and big brother and sis decided to take a 2-man ground blind and ease over to a picked cornfield edge and sit till dark. So we split company and headed are seperate ways....I will be danged if I did not even make it 80 yds when I her my daughters little H&R .44 rem. mag. bark! I thought man that was fast! Then I hear my sons H&R Ultra 20 ga. go off! I then thought that maybe sis made a bad shot and big brother had to finish the deed...then my phone vibrated in my pocket...on the other end was my son stating that he had spotted 2 does coming off of the opposite ridge and they dropped to their knees and brother set up the shooting sticks for sis and she proceeded to drop the biggest doe and my son dropped the little one! His next question was what do you want us to do as we still have daylight left! ;D I told him 2 was enough and I also responded by congratulating them on a job well done and a special thanks for letting sis shoot first! He is a fine young man...
