Helped put this together. Everybody involved is pretty proud of the effort. Some of you know Joe from our youth hunt last year, who help cook, he was the point man on this monsterous even. Ended up with several large donations, one from Walmart for $6000 and one from a defense contractor that Joe works for. Plus a hundred or so volunteers in various tasks. Anyway, for the good stuff. They killed 14 deer total, most of them first timers. One girl got two the first morning. They hunted at Grandview Hunting Club, which is mine Ky. lease and one that Joe is my manager there. Plus a couple of private farms and at one municipal property owned by Hardin Co.(landfill). The kids had a range session on Friday and all passed a hunter safety course and got their Orange cards that day. Deer were autopsied by KYDFWR and check for CWD and overall heath. Most all of the meat was donated back to the needy. Here's some pics, but you'll be able o see more in the QDMA web site later and in several publications. 30 youngsters total!!!
