In regards to the other question, I don't think it's legal to drive the 4-wheeler on the road other than to cross it at a 90° angle, registered or not.

I did not find any where that stated that a trailer plate was required to be illuminated at night.

Off road vehicles are illegal to operate on a public roadway under state law. However a provision was placed in the law that allows for individual counties to allow off road vehicles on piblic roadways within the specific county. Not all counties allow for off road vehicles on the roadway but a few do through a county ordinance.
