Well, to start off, I have to say hats off to Woody and Tom (timex) for their great job and generosity for having the kids up there. It takes a lot of time and kindness to let kids come up to hunt on private property, and give them a goodie bag filled with everything! I am so impressed.
Also, to ALL sponsors, THANK YOU! You all are awesome for the goodies for the kids, just amazing!
This is a Top notch, 1st Class event.
So Holden and I sat on a bean field, overcast and windy, not seeing anything, tried in afternoon, and ended up leaving earlier than I wanted, but I guess I can only keep a 12 year old contained for so long, at least he was not playing video games. And the time we spent together today was great! which is the whole point of getting them out and with a parent or mentor.
We plan on going back in the morning hopefully to try and get Holden his first deer. Hopefully the rain will hold off.
Woody, Tom, you guys Rock! Thank you so much and for everyone who gave time to set up stands and blinds, you guys are great also. For those who missed out, it is like a vacation, they had everything you could think of for the kids. even got to shoot a crossbow for the first time.
