Have been lurking on here for the last few days and finally decided to join. I've frequented many hunting/outdoor forums and I'm impressed with what you guys have going on here. Hope I can contribute a little and learn a lot. My grandpa always said there wasn't any such thing as a stupid question so I hope not to prove him wrong.
I'm a Louisiana bayou bengal by birth and education but have lived in a number of places around the US and the globe, thanks to the USMC. Most recently moved back to N Carolina from Mississippi but have been fortunate enough to secure a farm to hunt this season in your great state. Consequently, I don't know jack about hunting deer or turkey in Indiana and will look to you learned members for that. In return, I'd be happy to pass along all I know of hunting in the lower MS river valley and eastern NC. Look forward to enjoying the forum.

Welcome to the site rubrail! So you back in J'ville? There are some fellow jarheads on here so don't be bashful! Where abouts is the place in Boilermakerland that you're going to be hunting? That will help the guys here know who is close and maybe dial you in a little better to what you may need to know. Indiana is such a long state north to south that our conditions usually are different in different areas.
Getting ready to head to Beaufort for some vacation next month-spent over three years trying to stay away from that place and now that's where we go on vacation...go figure!

I'll be hunting in Shelby Co. and may have a line on a place in Jefferson Co if things work out but that one isn't confirmed. Mostly bow hunt but will occasionally pick up a firearm too. I just enjoy being outdoors. Are you guys headed to Beaufort SC or Beaufort, NC? I'm actually in Beaufort, NC myself. We lived here while I was in the Corps since I hated J'ville. Got out and moved back down south for a few years then ended up right back here. If you're headed to Beaufort NC next month let me know. I'm always looking for someone to help me catch a spanish mackrel or blue when the tide is right.
