Since I don't remember the last time it rained enough here to do anything, I don't think it will make a difference. Finished up 1/2 an acre food plot while on vacation the last two weeks. The only chance of rain is this Saturday night/Sunday morning, so I'm hoping for a little. Last fall it looked just like this for almost a month with the exception of a few sprouts here and there. Maybe a turkey will find it this fall...

I feel your pain. (Hoping for rain.) I planted .6 acre's turnip's 2 weeks ago. Luckily it sit's right next to a small pond. I have been using a 5 hp transfer pump with 2 inch hose reduced to water hose size and have been irrigating with 2 sprinkler's 3 hour's every evening for past 10 day's. Plot look's good but my 6 acre's of clover plot's are burning up. Hope we get rain this weekend plus I think extended forcast look's like rain middle to end of next week 3 day's in row? Clover should bounce right back if it stay's warm. EVERYBODY DO A RAIN DANCE !!!!

This was a first year for us planting food plots....they all started out well, but the lack of rain has them pretty well dead. We mowed off a small patch yesterday and resowed some new items in the hope of rain in the next couple of weeks.

Got some good rain Sunday night and a little Monday. Starting to sprinkle this morning (Tues) and calling for rain next couple day's. Just what I needed. Went out Monday to look at all my plot's and think's look good. Think with several days of rain should be in good shape ny opening day bow.

I plowed 8 small food plots up yesterday and its was very dry and hard to plow. Next week I will disc them up and seed then with winter wheat. I had a big plot already seeded with wheat so this rain will bring it up. We could stand to get 3-4 inches of rain with the ground being so dry. h.h.
