How many of you guys are going to turkey hunt this fall? I'm planning on hunting the first part of Oct mainly for turkey but will kill a deer if its the right one. I'm planning on taking my camera and setting up in a pop-up and see if i can get it on video. I shot a bearded hen this spring and would like to kill a tom this fall. h.h.

I'd be thrilled to see one in the fall woods at the very least. Should one walk under my stand, then I'll "third" the previous two!

Target of opportunity for me as well. Since I don't have a L.L. that means I'll have to shell out the bucks if i want to bow shoot one. Haven't decided yet whether I want to do that. If I don't, sure enough I'll have a flock walk beneath my stand. if I do, I won't see any.

huxbux,
I understand what your are saying. If I didnt have a LL I dont know if I would buy a fall turkey tag. h.h.

If I didn't fill the tag, I wouldn't feel my money was wasted though. I would consider it a wildlife management donation.

If I that $(*^@ turkey is a problem for me while deer hunting I just might get tags and zip him if I get the chance. He's been hanging around back there every time I've been back and found a feather that was in bow range from where i'm going to set up. I swear if he costs me a shot..............don't like the farmyard kind, don't like the 3D target kind.......I really don't like turkeys! (except on the thnkgiving table)

I am finally able to go out tomorrow morning and all day on Sunday..., school sucks and is eating up all my week nights.
I am taking a good friend of mine son out in the morning hopefully we will score on a turkey or if we are really lucky a double. He has never hunted turkey and is excited about it. Right now a deer is a target of opportunity!
