Beautiful deer and nice looking mount. Stupid question here maybe but what are the things on the shoulder that look like swollen up ticks? Where are you located Timex? I am looking for a new taxi. My guy just isn't cutting it no more. Does good work but not reliable. Says be done in three months and takes at least a year. Took two geese to him. Was told three months and it took two years to get them back and they are no where near what was promised. I am heading out to Wyoming on a velvet deer hunt and needing someone that has done velvet deer. Have you had any experience doing them? Would like to come and look at your work sometime. Also maybe like to talk about doing something with them geese. Mounting on a different mount or something.

Pins, I use them to hold the hide from slipping until the paste takes over. On a pedestal mount, the hide wraps around the back and gets tucked, verses staples in a trad. wall mount.
At present, I'm not doing migratory birds of any sort. A year is not uncommon on some work. Mine is normally six to 8 months before I'm done. Those that don't tan in house are normally longer.
