Is there anything or a combination of things to plant this time of year for fall and winter
I have a small area I would like to make into a foot plot that was recently cleared
I am a newbi to plots to please bear with me

No, too dry. No moisture in the soil. Prepare now for a Sept. planting.

I will do that , what do you recommend in Sept. Is there anything I can do now to sweeten the soil prior to Sept

We got 1"rain wed morning and are forecasting rain for Fri evening Sat and Sun thunderstorm's. I live in southern Indiana and if we get rain am gonna put out couple more plot's consisting of turnip's/rape and some forage oat's and wheat combo.

Its so dry up here in NE Indiana Im not planting turnips this fall. Ive planted turnips the last 7-8 years and last year they didnt grow much at all because of the dry conditions. They got the size of radishes. This year is a carbon copy of last year. Im waiting until late Sept or early Oct and plant winter wheat. h.h.

Hope we all get some good rainfall H.H.. Last 2 year's my fall plot's dried up also. Forecast sound's encouraging next 3 day's. Hope we get a bunch!!!!
