Here is a bow that I made for my wife. She has never shot a bow before, so I thought I would make her one and see how she liked it. When I asked her what kind she wanted, she asked for one with flamingo's on it 
That didn't happen. What we ended up with was a hickory bow dyed purple with a pink string. The bow is 66" long, 1 3/8" wide to mid limb, then tapering to 1/2" pin nocks, and 30 lbs # 26". She wanted a plain black leather grip with no stitching, so that's what she got. I have 6 coats of tru-oil on it and the back shines like a new car. In one picture, you can see me waving in the reflection on the bow. The bow took a pretty good amount of set which I don't mind. I built this bow so it would be easy for her to shoot, not for performance. I think I will wait for the humidity to break before tillering any more hickory. Sorry about all of the pictures. The bow is very photogenic ;D
