OK the season is over. Obviously if you got a bird early on, you probably either got lucky or did something right. Either case you might not change anything. If you had trouble this year getting a bird what do you plan to change next year? Better decoys? calls? Maybe not call so much? Call more? move more often? stay put longer? Hunt more often? Try a new area?

I wish I lived in an area with a higher population. I live in Miami co and we have some birds but they're few and far between. I've killed one in 3 years on my property there.

Scout more!! I did more this year and I see it can be a big help with tight lipped gobblers.

open season 2 weeks sooner the people that say noway are probly the ones that did not have to hunt in southern In. the last 2 weekends when the temp went up to 85 plus , and the ticks and skeeters were so thick you can,t stay put very long. not to mention heard no gobbles last 4 times out . in good turkey areas.if you live north of indy you have no idea.oh one more thing even if a turkey did come in you cant see it as heavy as the undergrowth is.not complaining though still better than working just my opinon.good day
