It was a fun season. Bow season will get here soon enough. In the mean time, there are too many other good things to hunt too. A teaser from yesterday's action ... A whole summer of bow fishing, fishing in general, and then there is early goose season ... no time to even stop and think about deer hunting with all that action going on. ;D

I'm ready for it,around 4.5 months to go..I may do a little fishing here and there,but my mind will be on bowhunting season.

HEY DEC! Whats your recipe for the CHICAGO Walleye. Fire up the grill, wrap the fish in an old sock, cook the wrapped fish, unwrap the fish, throw the fish in the weeds, and eat the sock. I know some like to eat them, but I'll pass. The raccoons have to eat too.

A very strange season to be sure. I heard less gobbling this year than any year I ever hunted turkeys, and the ones that did gobble, didn't respond to calling. I consider myself lucky to have had a tom stumble into my setup. I'm certain the harvest will be down this year.
