I need a little information on lease fees. IF, one had a large managed property with good deer, turkey, and migatory bird populations what kind of fees could you realize from it? I have a customer that I am trying to sell on the idea of such a project.

Large tract require large sums, obviously. Current lease prices are anywhere from $5 an acre up to $30 or more. Quality and size of the parcel are important, and it's not easy finding a buyer with this economy.

Thanks, they have the property already, about a 1000 acres in fence, and we are trying to convince them to manage for quality production rather than subdivide and sell it off. We're hoping to set up 3 or 4 smaller areas inside the fence then look for either leases or possible fee to hunt.
