Hey guys, looks pretty quiet here. I'm in Hammond but have a SWEET little place in Pulaski County where the deer appear to outnumber the people. I'm looking for a closer place to practice with my bow and maybe get some pointers since I've learned the pro shop where I got my bow didn't really set it up right. For the right type of guy I'd consider sharing my hunting spot in a very private area near THE Tippecanoe River. I'm set up with a small piece of property at the end of a private road that I own and permission to hunt some neighboring property. I have a 32' RV parked there with electricity and have "camped" out there in the winter quite comfortably. Any takers??

Sounds like an awesome offer, but I'm in the same situation as you regarding practice. I live in a subdivision near South Bend and drive 50 minutes to hunt one small property in North Liberty. The shop near me (Michiana Archery) is not too bad as far as expertise, but I try to keep my setup simple so I can handle most things myself. I'm sure somebody with a good spot to shoot arrows will take you up on your offer.

I mainly need some practice and maybe some fine tuning of the compound. It seems the "Pro Shop Guy" wasn't quite as knowledgeable as I thought and I've learned I've got some issues with my set up to work out. Sorry I took so long to answer; apparently this site doesn't do the e-mail alert to new posts...

Riverside Archery is the place to go in NW Indiana. It is located on the South side of the Kankakee river just off route 41. He has years of experience and is very knowledgeable. I used to live in Hammond but, have now moved to Lowell. I don't trust those so-called pro shops. www.facebook.com/.../Riverside-Archery...ARCHERY/123041274387648

If you need I can get you tuned up. I have a 17 yard indoor range in my garage and access to other areas to shoot. Just let me know! You don't even have to share your hunting spot.
BTW I live in Lowell.
