I am looking to get a mountain bike for competition. For mountain bike trails. Under $250 is price range. What brands and models would you reccomend to start off with? Also anyone know of any competitions for youth? I know of a few at potato creek.

My son raced it a few years ago, was pretty organized if I remember right
