You can lead a horse to water.......

Took my 9 YO nephew out on Sat. morning and had birds all over the place just could'nt get one to commit. After all the gobbling calmed down we were hiking quite a bit I tried to take it easey but could tell that the 20 ga he was carrying was getting a little heavy. I'd stop and sit for a while and call but really could'nt hear any more turkeys. We got back to the truck about noon, he had baseball practice at 2:00. I asked him if he had fun and he said yes but I don't know if he said that just to make me feel better or not. Any way I asked him if he wanted to go on Sunday and he said he was tired and didn't want to go the next day. Needless to say I was a bit disapointed but I did'nt let him know it, I tried to get him a bit excited and tell him that I knew more spots to get a bird but hes still did'nt want to go I guess that's the way it goes. I'll try again next year maybe I can still get him hooked. Baseball is a fine pastime for a boy and so is hanging out with their freinds I just don't want him turning his head into mush infront of the TV pkaying video games all day when it's such a nice spring day (man I'm starting to sound like my dad
