Yesterday being "FAT TUESDAY" I took the wife and her aunt who turned 84 yesterday to dinner at our favorite Polish restaurant that being the CZERWONE JABLUSZKO or as pronounced in English The Red Apple located at 6474 N.Milwaukee in Chicago. At the restaurant was a news team from channel 9 WGN in Chicago filming a weekly food review show that will air on March 27th at 10:00pm called CHICAGO'S FINEST. When the news team found out we had traveled 85 miles to celebrate a birthday at this little restaurant they came over and interviewed us. Also being FAT TUESDAY we had to stop at several bakeries and sample the PUNCHKIS or otherwise known as as filled Bismarck's.

You're not going to start talking about having Adonis DNA now with your new found celebrity are you? ;d Pretty cool. Can't say that I've ever had much polish food other than pierogies, which I love.

Perogies! Did someone say perogies?! I'll take a half a dozen of those and chase it down with a strawberry filled paczkis! ;D Speaking of good places to eat, once a year my wife and I make a trip to Beecher, Ill. to eat at the Princess Cafe. Pretty expensive, hence the ONCE a year trip, but the atmosphere and dinning are top notch!
