Hello,
My name is Staff Sergeant James, Jerry. I am a wounded warrior (Disabled Veteran). I was injured September 20th 2008 when my vehicle struck an IED blast hole that was approx. 4ft deep and 6ft wide. I know you ask yourselves "how and the hell are you going to hit a hole that big?". Well, when your are in a convoy of over 60 vehicles, at night, rolling 45MPH, with black outs (low light), and visibility is 4ft ahead of you due to the dust is rolling, it's actually quite easy!! My injuries were 3 herniated lower disc's in my back 2 of the fractured, 2 herniated disc's in my neck, a hernia were my guts blew out in my groin, and a mild concusion. I came home very depressed and feeling as if I was now worthless to my family and job. My work eventually put me out after falling 3 times due to my legs going completly numb. Now I am in a process of being medically discharged. Still after 2yrs! As I have set home and dwelled on the things I can no longer do such as, ride my harley for more than 10-30 miles, deer/turkey hunt, play with my 9yr old daughter as I used to and many other things I tonce took for granted, I one day came acrossed a website that caught my eye. The site is Link-up.org . This site asks for volunteers to donate time, equipment, money, outside activities, and hunts for just about any game you can think of. I finally had a place to talk with other wounded warrior's and meet some great and very patriotic people. I am asking you as Hoosier's to check this site out and show our support for the nations Veterans that have came home a changed man or women! Thank you for your time!
