Post up your opinion (not in numbers) about how the 2010-2011 season was for you. The season started like always with a years worth of anticipation and preparation however it was pretty much the same as last year and that would be a SO-SO kind of season. Early in November for the first time in years I saw large migration flocks of ducks heading south through our area however they never stopped. It appears that this was a good year for Wood duck and teal and Black duck production but average for Mallards. The season was slow until the freezing weather stated and then things got a little better......but not by much. The February goose season was only half as good as previous years due to the deep snow cover and very cold temps. I think the season dates were right on the money and in summary I would say that it was a fair to fair+ season.

Wood ducks.teal, Pintails and Black ducks all so a lot of Snow geese in late November heading south. a lot of divers this year in the marsh to. I did good on ducks but not on geese in Indiana but did get geese in Wisconsin and Illinois. large flocks of Mallards came throgh but did not stay long. All in all not to bad of a season.

Ducks were no good for me this year. Only got into them one time up north around Thanksgiving time.
Didn't hunt sept season or Feb season for geese. Gave it heck or as much as I could on the geese and had a sub par year. Ended it with a few good hunts and lots of frustrating ones for some reason. But still looking forward to next years go at it. I hope to get a hunt or two in Sept and Feb next year and get my kids out this coming year. Could give a rip about what I shoot or don't shoot.

Got out one time in the September season.
Got sent out of the country for work during the October season. I don't usually hunt much in november due to deer season. December and January things were all froze up at my spots. Didn't even get out again.
Oh well. There is always next year.

Overall one of the worst i have had in long time. Everything froze up early in december. Pretty much stayed that way till the end of the season. I killed plenty but not like in the past

This was my first year. The guys that I hunted with said that it was a dismal year, no birds were landing on the farm until way late in the season. We did O.K. on late goose, but only in the last half of the season. We saw more ducks during the late goose season than in all of the regular duck season. Late goose seasons' tally was 73 geese, they had over 150 last year. We saw a lot of birds, some days 400+, but we weren't in the "X". The singles and pairs would decoy, but not the larger flocks of 20+ birds. They knew where they wanted to go and we couldn't change their minds.
We'd do a lot better on ducks if the season opened a month to two months later. We're going to try and flood a field this year and see how it works.

My season wasn't too much different from everyone else. Just been getting into waterfowl the past few years, but have had a rough time finding good places to hunt. Drove 2+ hours a few times trying to find good public lands during the early season, with very little luck anywhere Would love to find someone whose willing to take on another member of their party. I'll contribute in any way I can... just looking for some decent places to put some meat on the table. Thanks to anyone willing!
