Did anyone see the article on the goose hunters on the St Joe river? They are really out to stop us hunting the river. See article at www.etruth.com

Common sense and courtesy go a long way. This article and Pigeon's experience aside, I have seen hunters do things that IMO were just asking for trouble. Parking your boat 3 feet off someones pier and tossing out decoys while someones grandchildren are fishing off that pier is probably not a very good idea. If you're going to set-up 50 yds from someone's house and start shooting at 6:30 in the morning, chances are they'll be mildly ed. Having a right to do something doesn't always mean it's the right thing to do. I just ask my fellow hunters to use some discretion, put yourself in that landowner/homeowner's position. Make sure you are setting a positive example with your decisions. If your rights as a hunter are being fringed upon while you're exercising good judgement then by all means stand your ground and contact a CO.

Eh!!! still kicking myself for not dumping it before it made it out in front of you! I did finally get into some banded geese this fall though. I need to find a way out on the river by my house for this conservation season, birds are stacked up nicely.
