I have a charles daly semi-auto 20 gauge shotgun. I bought it used from a friend, but it was bought new from walmart around 2004. It doesn't have a model number, it just says charles daly semi-automatic 20 gauge. I was shooting it earlier this year and the bolt/action handle broke. Charles Daly went out of business. Numrich bought all of the parts, however they are sold out on the bolt handle. I think it is pretty simple to make a new one, but when it broke I dropped the broken pieces in the stand and couldn't find one. I know it is prolly a long shot, but I am wondering if anyone has one of these guns that wouldn't mind letting me borrow their handle so I could make one or take it to a machine shop and have a copy made. I could give you something of value of mine to hold until I return the part. I would also give you some money for your trouble. It just sucks, because if numrich doesn't get anymore or if I can't find one then I have a synthetic 20 gauge boat anchor. I live in columbus, In. Thanks guys!!

I did some searching on the web and all I could find out is that you have encountered a very common problem with those guns. Probably why Numrich is sold out! Good luck finding one. Maybe one from another brand will work. Alot of those imported guns are copy cats of well known firearms. Just a thought.

Yea, I have been doing all of the research that I can about them. I called numrich and they said that they are still sorting out all of their stuff and call back in about a month. That was 2 weeks ago. I have been checking their website daily to see if it has been updated. I haven't seen were anything else will work for those. If I could get my hands on one, I am sure reverse engineer it. Its pretty annoying.

That would be annoying! I'd get it fixed, and ditch it ASAP! Who knows what might break next!

my thoughts exactly. Just kinda stinks, I like the gun. It shot great, light weight, I have put a lot of rounds through it and I have never had it jamm on me. I got a steal on it at $200 when CD was still in business. I think I will be lucky to get $200 out of it in working condition now. It is just a liability if something else breaks in the future.

I know someone who has a CD 20 semi but haven't talked with him in a while. If you are not in a hurry when I get a chance I will ask him. It should be in the next month or so. h.h.

Is the part u lost steel, if so try a strong magnet to find it. Roofers use them all the time for nails and can be rented cheaply I'm sure

Good idea! They even have those magnets on wheels that are about 2' wide so you could cover a lot of ground quickly.

Good idea, I hadn't even thought about that. I will have to wait until the snow melts, then I will give it a shot. I have done some more digging on it and I think the gun I have was made by SARSILMAZ in turkey. I am not sure though as there are no markings on the gun. The parts diagram on numrich looks to be the same. I sent Sarsilmaz an email in english and turkish (using an internet translator) we'll see if I get a response.

ok, so I think I might have figured this out. My shotgun was made by akkar in turkey. I sent them an email stating my problem and they said to contact samco global arms. I work 3rd shfit so I will have to wait until they open to call them. Their website isn't very good so I just googled their name and looked through the reviews and found this www.ammoland.com/2010/10/07/samco-global-arms-selected-as-us-importer-for-akkar-sporting-arms/ looks like they are going to be selling the same gun just under a different name. The clock is going to creap along until they open.

Good luck! Sounds like if you find one, you'd better buy two!
