Has anybody tried them? Not specifically by themselves, but to fill out a decoy spread.
My buddy has 3 dz full body decoys, and he wants me to get some silhouteed decoys to help fill out the spread. Since they are thin, I'm having a hard time believing they are better than rags, but I'll listen to what people have to say that have more experience than I do (first year waterfowling).
He has the Greenhead Gear flocked head/neck motion full body decoys.
We'll be hunting fields (of course).

We normally do use one or two dozen silhouttes. They do work good to fill in. Where we use them alot is when we have to hike to our spot we can carry alot more than full bodies. The silhouettes will also give the impression that the are moving. When the geese fly over them, they will disappear an then reappear. I would not hesitate to buy some. You can get two dozen for the price of one dozen full bodies.

We put out 2 to 7 dozen silos with our full bodies. Or leave the full bodies at home on occasion. Good luck.

Speaking about the Cabelas silhouette's, which ones? I see some that have anti-glare on no sides, one side and both sides.

I prefer at least one side to be anti-glare. I sold my Pro Series I silos and am switching to the Pro Series II for next year.

Thanks guys. I ordered a set of Pro's non-glare both sides. Now if the geese would head this way! A buddy was over near Hammond/Gary yesterday and said he saw 1,000's of them near a grain processing facility.
