shovel. IF its a set youll reuse next year, leave the pogo n cable. just open the J hook I don't recommend leaving a snare afield during the off season. They play hell on mowers and some farm equipment. I been told by several farmers where I hunt, to pull them if I find them.

He's talking about leaving the Pogo anchor there, which is underground, not the snare.

also the hides are not worth anything during the summer if you are selling them

I set my snares in fence rows where I know the yotes are coming through the fence. It's especially easy to figure them out when there is snow on the ground. Make sure you put swivels on your snares or they will twist them up and ruin the cable. If you don't have a fence row to put them on try making a funnel where they have to go through to get to the gut pile.
