Twas the night before the orange army withdrew! LOL! Christmas is almost upon us, meaning some extra time off work and the imminant mating rituals of our fur bearing friends. The greatest present of all for me will come tomorrow at dusk, when those deer hunters go home and my land access opens WAY up. It's like a weight lifted off my shoulders each year when the firearms seasons are over, knowing my coyotes will see less pressure and I don't have to pick-n-choose the routes I hunt depending on leases and occupied campsites. With work, family and health: this has been my most sluggish fall in recent history. I hope the decreased pressure from deer hunters and increased FREETIME of January and February are productive for me and get me back on track. I've been out the last few nights, getting what I can in the nighttime hours. I tried to sneak in 5 daytime stands this morning, 3 of which were occupied by orange toboggans! After tonight, maybe the coyotes and I won't be so nocturnal!
