How much land have you acquired in the 4 counties you mention for this club. Does the 600.00$ cover everything including insurance? How many members will it be limited to? Did you ever find your wife's deer she wounded? How many members have you already signed up? Can I pay you the 600.00 with Monopoly Money?

A Hunting Club might be fine, but with today's economy I really don't think many are in the position to pay $600/year for Hunting. <Good Luck Though>

For a good piece of ground $600 a year is a bargain. If the hunt club property has any extras such as year round use for any species, a lodge, camping area with electricity, lake for fishing, etc, etc that price will go up and rightfully so. Now, I am not saying that this gentleman has all that and I kind of doubt it as I have seen him post his "new hunt club" posts for quite some time on other forums. He seems to be having a hard time getting takers and getting it off the ground. Maybe that is why he posted " slowly forming a hunt club?" Even in this economy there are still some people that have expendable cash to apply to hunting. Not as many as before, but they are still out there.

Watch out for the "magic mud" deer and them very mature five pointers running around. As a side note all deer that are shot will probably run on neighboring land and you will not be allowed to retrieve them.

Once you get over $1500 it does become a bit tuffer to fill. Still depends on acres per man and quality. Good luck with your club.

Your correct inthat I have never had to lease any land for hunting or had to join a hunting club. I think joining a hunting club is fine though, especially if you don't own land to hunt on. Well, I have my own land here in Ky. and thus far have taken Deer & other game, each season,on it since I bought it.
