One of my German ShortHaired Pointers ate gorilla glue. She's been to the vet and had surgery on her stomach to remove the mass of glue. She's 50/50 to make it right now. Send Bailey some good vibes. She's a great dog and really needs some good vibes sent her way. Thanks in advance! Jabba

I really am hopping for the best. It's amazing how much a guy can get attached to his dog. I have a 14 year old lab named Baily that's has really started to show her age. I can't stand what I know is looming in the near future and what I will have to do about it .
I find it amazing that your dog could stomach Gorilla glue. That is some nasty stuff. I had an accident with some and got quite a bit on my hands and nothing, and I mean nothing would cut it off. My finger were stained black by it. It finally wore off in about a weeks time and a little help with sand paper.
That stuff actually swells up to about 10 times the amount that you apply after drying. It's good stuff and will bond about anything together, but you got to be very careful using it. I wish your dog the best.

Pulling for you and your dog with all my might.
My brothers dog once ate a bottle of crazy glue and all worked out there.
Best of luck to you.

doc called this am. SHe's still not out of the woods. She says she LOOKS good. And got up and walked outside to pee, but her labs are a little iffy. she adjusted her fluids and medicine, and we'll continue to wait and see.
Thanks ya'll. My wife and I really do appreciate the happy thoughts.
Dogs eating gorilla glue is pretty common i guess. They say it tastes like peanuts and maple syrup.
My 3 year old knocked the bottle of it off the top of the refrigerator in the mud room. I had no idea it happend until well after.
I am pretty sick over it all. She's a young dog at only 4 years old. Her and my 3 year old are tight buddies too. He asks about her all the time. all he knows is that she's REAL sick, and in the hospital.

The vet just called and said while she's still not out of the woods, her labs have gotten better, it looks as though her kidneys are starting to work again, and she actually trotted outside to pee.
Still a long way to go, but at least there is a little good news now.
It seems as though her resected intestine is holding, and her renal failure seems to have been temporary.
I sure hope tomorrow brings yet some more improvement.
Thanks for the ear guys. I will keep everyone in the loop.

It sounds like great news. Keep us informed. I was thinking about her today when I seen my bottle of Gorilla today in my shop that I threw into the trash. I think from now on I'm sticking with epoxy.

when minutes and seconds count, being a good owner and getting the dog treatment right away can make all the difference. You did your part and that dog's gonna pull through for you.
Sending mojo each time I look at my dog... get well Bailey!

Bailey has improved a lot. She's eating now, and drinking. Her labs are all a lot better. But... she still has a lot of perotinitis in her abdomen. Doc thinks GI tract still might be leaking somewhere. Thinking about going in and looking again.
But she's feeling good and the doc says she's eager to leave.
