I have a LEM grinder, you can find them at LEM's website. Basspro also carries them and when I was looking to buy Basspro had a better price than LEM did. Really well built grinder. LEM also has rebuilt / refurbs available sometimes too.

LEM has quality equipment, and I order supplies thru them on a regular basis.

I use an antique hand crank grinder, that I couple to a gear reduction angle head drill motor.
Works great!!

I bought the guide series one from Gander last year. It works pretty good. Or at least I'm told it does... My mom said it was good. I do all the processing and my parents do all the trimming and prepairing. So she uses the grinder. But she said it worked great last year so I'll take her word for it. It was a costly one though. $300 or so. But I wanted to get one that would do the work and do it right without having to be taken apart every 15 minutes. BB

Take a look at the pics of my meat grinder set up in here: huntingindiana.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=thebutchershop&action=display&thread=34128I bought the grinder on eBay several years ago-think I gave around $75 for it- and picked up an old washing machine motor free. A little bit of wood working help from my brother and I now have a set up that will take care of anything that I have ever ran through it. It's almost scarey to use because of the speed it gobbles down chunks of meat and then spits them out the end. Easily did over 40# of venison chunks, double grind, in under 30 minutes. Like Dan says it takes longer to clean and put away than it does to do the deed.

I was going to buy one, and mentioned it to my parents last year... Turned out that my mom had a couple of the grinders that her grandmother used to process goat meet, way back when... Works excellent, even today!
