anyone have any experience, input, or reviews on this handgun? my unit since we are in iraq stumbled across sig sauers unit show your pride custom pistols deal, where you choose the model, and then they put your companys logo, emblem, and "operation Iraqi freedom" all on the slide if you order 30 or more. everyone voted and the p220r won as the model, and i decided to order one. Ive just got feeble knowledge of this particular sig. ive shot p226's plenty of times and enjoyed it though. all input is welcome. thanks

What a sweet deal! You won't or can't go wrong with a Sig. I'm very happy to see them step up and do something for you guys and gals over there! I owned a factory 226 that would shoot better than my Springfield 1911A1 that was tricked out so you certainly won't go wrong. Unfortunately for me that was a couple years ago and I ran upon hard times and had to get rid of both of them. My ex could get us in a jam so fast it would make your head spin.. it was a vicious cycle .. buy nice guns...sell nice guns ... buy sweet guns ... sell sweet guns ... that's one reason she's an ex, well that and she gave me the ultimatum that it was either her or the dog. I chose the dog.. .. but I digress!! ;D But most of all THANKS for doing what you do!

None with that particular pistol, but I once owned a P229. IMO it is maybe the finest out of the box combat pistol to be had. I have a P239 I carry concealed about half the time (don't like high capacity pistols for concealed carry) I can't think of a better choice for quality and reliability.
