Tanner broke his collar bone tonight playing football for the school. He broke it on the 1st play on defense. He made a huge tackle by himself. The 2nd play, he made a huge tackle by himself. 4 plays later he is on the side lines crying. That boy does not cry unless something is majorly wrong. He said after the 1st tackle he made, he heard something pop. After the 2nd play, the pain started to hurt pretty bad. After the 3rd play it was killing him but he knew it was broke and didn't want to quit playing. This is the second time he has broken his collar bone and this is the same side as last time.
Just keep him in your prayers because this is soo painful. Thanks everyone.

Big Bummer! Man I hate to hear that since he's an animal & loves playing football. I hope it's not his shooting shoulder. Jeremy please keep us posted on his progress.

It's not his shooting shoulder so he can probably shoot the .44 magnum since it doesn't kick much. He is very bummed about not playing football anymore this year. We have to see an orthopedic doctor today or tomorrow, gotta call them this morning. He said last night he still wanted to go to school today, but when he woke up it's a different story lol. I will keep you guys updated.. Thanks

Done it myself, twice, same side. Hurts like heck. No cast, just a sling and brace. Not so bad when you are still, but moving before the bone sets is different deal altogether. Archery is out for a good while, but hopefully he can shoot a gun before too long. And he has an excuse to let someone else drag.

He finally went to the doctor today. He was supposed to go on wed, thurs but they called two days in a row saying they had emergency surgeries that they didn't know how long they would take. Anyways, the doctor said everything looked as good as it could. The break wasn't as severe as last time but he said no lifting at all with either arms for at least 2 weeks. He went to school today for a few hours and said everything went ok. He is in alot of pain when he is up and moving. You know how he doesn't like to sit still lol. Hopefully in a month or so, he will be able to do alot more. He should be able to deer hunt in firearms season but now he has an excuse to not drag the deer out. I will tell him everyone is thinking about him. Thanks... Good luck to all the bowhunters, I will be out there on Sunday.

Hmm..... I'm thinking now he has an excuse to try to talk dad into a 4-wheeler to drag/haul the deer out of the woods.

Hmm..... I'm thinking now he has an excuse to try to talk dad into a 4-wheeler to drag/haul the deer out of the woods. He doesn't have to convince Dad, he has to convince Mom lol. I have a golf cart that has a big tilt bed in the back to haul deer on. I can't drive down and up any big hills though, it doesn't have the power a 4 wheeler does. But it is nice to have it to drive back and forth and haul them.

Got to convince that boy that there are less painful ways to suck up to mom. Might cause some dishpan hands though.

He would rather drag a deer with 1 arm straight up a hill than to do dishes.

Tanner finally got the green light again from his broken clavicle. He is gonna wrestle now. Trey has been wrestling Varsity and he's only a freshman. My 16 year old daughter only plays softball thank goodness since Trey and Tanner both golf, baseball, football and wrestling. It never stops all year long.
