Here in Maine of course! I shot my bird last Monday in the pouring rain, he was with 3 hens gobblin' his little head off. I called the hens off the field about 50 yards into the timber, when he got to 30 yards the timber roared and he gobbled no more! ;D Fed him a little lead breakfast! Brought my friend Bill there the next day and he hammered his bird. We were at my house taking pics when my friend Travis called and said he had his bird down. L to R Travis (18 # 9" beard 1" spurs) ME (20 # 10" beard 1" spurs. Bill (17# 9" beard 1 1/8" spurs)

How do I get to Maine? I still need a bird and you guys have too many LOL! Maine is one highly overlooked state for Easterns. This was our first non lottery season - we have a TON of birds. I know IN will be a blast, but I will probably be up here for a week next Spring, and our season is the month of May so most states are pretty much wound down on their seasons by then.

Good Job! Glad to see you got that tailfan dried out. For three years in a row every bird I shot found water and got drenched the last two years this hasn't happened, thank God. Nice Birds!

Congrats on those birds. Looks like us Hoosiers are gonna have to hone our skills before next season so as not to get shown up by an east coaster!
