I have been kicking the idea around about going down to Kentucky next year to Turkey hunt. Is there suitable public lands or is leasing the way to go? I don't know anyone in Kentucky - so private land is out. Any Ideas?

Try contacting the KDNR Fish & Wildlife Division for some feedback. Our group hunt KY private ground, so I cannot be much help to you concerning public lands.

KY has a alot of good public land. lbl and the peabody wma comes to mind. Lots of birds too. Contact www.kyafield.com/ and they will send you a regulation book and a book of places to hunt. Good luck.

I'd like to go down there too, and I imagine it wouldn't take too much to talk Dad into it. Don't think it'll happen for a few years though, since the kids are still pretty young.
Brian, if you do go, keep us informed of what you find out!

I was just down in the Eastern part of KY Daniel Boone National Forest. This was after the season but there 1000's of acres, look pretty good area. My neighbor goes down every year, he said just get out and knock on doors most people were real friendly and didn't mind them hunting. over the years they got several good places to hunt.
