Prayer does work.
Two weeks ago my friend Jimmy was involved in a roll-over crash that ejected him and tossed him nearly 100 feet before hitting the ground. The witnesses said he was over the rolling truck as it went through the ditch. Across the road from the crash scene were several police, EMT, and firefighter first responders having a training session. He was flown from the scene to a Louisville Hospital. He has severe damage to his pelvis and lower spine, but has no paralysis and total feeling. With the pain, sometimes the feeling isn't a welcome thing. During the body scans to determine exactly what damage he had suffered, the doctors discovered an tumor on his pancreas. They determined it was cancer and advised him and his wife to allow them to take immediate action and remove it. He talked the doctors into allowing him and his wife some time to discuss it. They have been raised devout Christians. They did not tell anyone what the doctors had told them, but set to praying themselves. Jimmy had already had a tremendous amount of friends and family praying for his recovery, but not for this specific cause. We found out about this additional issue yesterday before church. We also found out that when the doctors talked to him and his wife Saturday that the tumor was completely gone. No more evidence of cancer at all.
God does answers prayers, and does heal.
