Question about Turkey Ticks!

Or whatever you want to call them. The small little buggers that are able to stay on your body even after showering and scrubbing every spot on your body... They ate me up the last weekend. Bad part is they itch and I can't even reach half of them on my back.... Here's my question. I'm planning on spraying in my woods to kill some of the plants that are in there. Mostly the Multiproa Rose (?). Was wondering if I could add an incectacide to the mix and it be safe and was wondering if it would do any good at ridding some of those little pesky things? Any thought on this or would I just be waisting money on that.... My thought is we need a good frost soon... LOL
