Usually try to hit the clearance at Wally World. Since the one in Crawfordsville is moving next week, they didn't have much, but I did manage to get a big stick of box call chalk for 50 cents there last week.
If you don't mind the reduced selection and having to sit on it for almost a year, it's the way to go. I've got several diaphram calls that I got for about 1/3 of the price after they went on clearance. Bought a climbing tree stand there late last fall for $20, normally $60-70. Dad bought the blind that I killed my tom from this year for $15 last fall too, normally about $45-50, IIRC.

After season clearance is the way to go if you are just starting out! Same thing with deer and waterfowl. Gander Mtn always has some excellent clearance sales as well as Wally World...better selection too!
