Does everyone have the SPREAD all ready? Do you use the old junkers or the brand new fully flocked?
Personally i think u go with mostly oldies and a few good ones around the blind.
Good luck and happy hunting!!!

Ducks I use hens and old almost colorless drakes. For real I use full color and add several hen mallards to boost spread size. For geese its a mix of old and new. Nothing flocked. I haven't convinced myself to go that route.

Depends on the place I'm hunting but don't have any "new" soldiers in the mix plenty of variety but nothing I'd consider new.

If your talkin ducks then any old decoy will do and only about a hand full is needed for TEAL. if your talkin geese then by all means the best you own in family groups. Don't get caught up in the NEW AND IMPROVED DECOY wars. Any halfway good looking decoy will get the job done. Its not about looks its about numbers and placement.

Good info guys...THANKS! I have never really waterfowl hunted & have been thinking about getting into it! I have seen several ads for used decoys, but hesitated since they were older/faded...NOW I know!!! ;D
