Went hunting this morning and while coming out of the woods flushed a hen about 15 yds. Thought she may be sitting on a nest and sure enough she was. This was my first turkey nest found in the 2-3 years Ive been hunting them. Thought it was pretty neat. There were 12 eggs in it. 11 in the nest and 1 lying just outside it. I think she may have kicked it out when she took off. My buddy and I didnt disturb or touch anything. Hopefully she'll come back and get it back in the nest. How many eggs do hens normally lay? Oh, the pasture we normally hunt is now leased to a guy with cows. They were in the back part of the pasture we hunted this morning, so we took to the woods. They have chased us the last few times we have been there. Anyway still had alot of fun and laughs but finding that nest made the day.

While in Missouri last weekend we found one also. Got the hen up off of it the day before and didn't realize it. There was one broken egg outside of the nest. We touched one of the eggs still in it and it was cold. Thought we may have ruined it the day before?
