Hello everyone. I took my first multiple bearded Tom on opening morning at 7:15 a.m. Measurements were as follows: Weight - 20lbs Spurs - 1" each All 4 beards - 35.375" NWTF Score - 110.75
I couldn't be happier. I brought this Tom in with one of my two section cane yelper's. Worked like a charm. My father got his first bird 45 minutes later.

Don't believe I've ever heard of 4 beards before. You're gonna get a full mount on that one, right? Congrats!

Turkey Scout...thanks for your kind words. Yes, I am having it mounted, but haven't decided where yet. If my figures are correct, this bird ranks #6 in Indiana for non-typical.
I have a few calls that I am working on now. I make two and three section cane yelpers. The finish is natural with a thread wrap at each joint and three coats of clear for durability. I have taken a bit of a break on making them to get caught up on the "Honey Do" list for spring. Out of the shop I am selling the three sections for $20.00 and the two section calls for $15.00. Let me know if you are interested. They are a simple style call, but deadly if used correctly. They just take a little practice is all. Again, thanks for your comments to everyone.

"4"?? WOW!! That is a rarity.. Congratulations on a good one.. Hmmm ... I would have thought that the 35.375 inch beards were the greater rarity , you don't see a 3 foot beard every day , much less four on the same bird ...

That's what I though until I looked it up. The top non-typical turkeys on the record books have 8 to 9 beards. I was shocked!
